Public and Patient Involvement in Research conference, April 27th


Public and patient involvement in research aims to create an active partnership beteen the public and researchers, allowing the voice and perspective of the public to help shape and guide research.

This  conference will be of interest to researchers, members of the public, patient  and community organisations  and policy makers. Our keynote speaker is Professor Mary McCarron, Trinity College Dublin, describing the innovative approaches  that enabled people with intellectual disability to shape the IDS TILDA  study.

We will also hear the perspectives of other researchers, of community and patient organisations, and of members of the public who have been involved in PPI initiatives.
