Higher Education Consultation on New National Social Enterprise and Innovation Strategy for Ireland

Campus Engage hosted the Department of Rural & Community Development – Higher Education Consultation to inform a new National Policy for Social Enterprise:

Work is currently underway on research to support the development of a National Policy on Social Enterprise due to be launched Spring 2018.  The research is an initiative of the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Social Finance Foundation.

Campus Engage has been in dialogue with the Department on the structure and content of the Policy, and has strongly recommended a comprehensive consultation process with Irish academic and practitioners in this field to inform policy wording and implementation.  As such the workshop took place on 1 February 2018 from 10.30am-1.00pm here at the Irish Universities Association.
