Limerick Institute of Technology is the newest member higher education institution to join the StudendVolunteer.ie platform. As the eleventh member and fourth Instiute of Technology to build a skin on the system, LIT students will join over already over 7,500 students to have the ability to connect with our 650+ registered organisations across Ireland.
StudentVolunteer.ie/LIT is now live for students to register and LIT will launch their platform locally on April 11th, in conjunction with their Volunteer fair. LIT will use the platform to promote their GIVE programme, which encourages students to engage in voluntary activities under the guidance of the LIT Access Service. In return, the Access Service trains the volunteers and assists them in developing their skills in leadership and communication.
“LIT are delighted to become part of a shared network which will support and enhance our work for the benefit of the students and LIT. We expect that this system will allow student volunteerism in LIT to grow and develop.”- Mary Nash, LIT Access Project Officer & StudentVolunteer.ie/LIT admin.
