Building on the success of the six-week Engaged Research for Innovation and Societal Impact course, Campus Engage hosted a final train the trainers workshop in the Oak Room of the Mansion House in Dublin. The workshop brought together thirty leaders from across Ireland learn, discuss, and meet each other, the better to embed engaged research practices at Irish institutions.
The workshop, funded by the HEA, resulted in thirty engaged research trainers, ready to accelerate research impact at their HEIs, centres, and beyond. The aim is to enhance the ability of Irish research institutions to implement engaged research best practices, and for these trainers to host additional training sessions, thus multiplying the scope and reach of engaged research.
Many thanks to the Irish Research Council, SFI, EPA Ireland, the HRB, and the Royal Irish Academy for their support.
