The organising committee of the 10th National & 4th International Conference of University Service-Learning is pleased to announce that the next conference will be held from 3-5 June, 2020 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
Five years after the Declaration of the 2030 Agenda, the conference theme “Service Learning in Alliance with the SDG” provides a space in which to analyse and reflect on how university service-learning can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as well as how these goals are implicitly present in service-learning initiatives.
This year the conference aims to bring together the university community, third sector entities and local public administration, as agents who work together in university service-learning, so that these diverse stakeholders can learn from each other and design projects together. The conference will showcase existing alliances and highlight the need for new, stronger and more inclusive alliances, based on shared principles, values, visions, and goals – alliances that place people and the planet firmly at the centre.
2020 Conference Abstract Submissions is now Open: The deadline for submission of abstracts (oral presentations and self-organised symposiums proposals) and workshop proposals is December 31st, 2019. You can submit via the website here.
