The National University of Ireland, Galway has been shortlisted in the sixteenth annual Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for their Community Knowledge Initiative. The CKI has been shortlisted from 1700 applications to one of 35 shortlisted finalists across 14 categories.
CKI is nominated in the Excellence in Community – Community Programme (LIC) along with organisations like A&L Goodbody, Deloitte and the Law Society of Ireland.
As an integral part of of the mission of NUIG, CKI aims to promote greater civic engagement through core academic activities, namely teaching, research and service at the levels of students, staff, courses, programmes and the institution as a whole.
The award ceremony will be held on Thursday 19th September 2019 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
